We had a great week in Hawaii. Nathan did really well considering his regular routine was completely shot. We stayed at a condo in Waikiki; it was great having out own kitchen and a way to screen off the bedroom from the living room. Nathan was most excited about riding on the airplane, swimming in the ocean, seeing the rockets at the Pearl Harbor museum, jumping on the bed in the condo, riding up and down the escalators at our condo, riding the train at the plantation, and seeing the Dinosaurs at the natural history museum.
Happy Birthday Gary. And thanks to my parents for having Nathan spend the night.
The weekend was nice. I quite enjoyed the cooler weather. At Nathan's suggestion we went to the zoo. Their hours are not designed with a napping toddler in mind - 10am to 5pm. We still managed to get in about an hour and a half looking at animals. Giraffes were the favorite.
I finally caved-in and bought a new computer - a laptop no less. My desktop is about 3 years old and doesn't function as well as it should. Between wanting to be able to play on the internet throughout the house and take a computer to Hawaii with us in two weeks, it felt like the right move. It arrived yesterday and now I get to transfer all my files and install programs.
I am looking foward to Gary's birthday celebrations this weekend. My brother is coming to visit and my parents will be taking Nathan for a sleep over.
