The weekend went by quick. Nathan discovered the bowling alley down the street and LOVES it. He watched folks bowling for close to an hour. He had fun pretending to throw a bowling ball and had a pretty healthy tantrum when I wouldn't let him try the real thing. The only other thing worth mentioning was my father making us waffles for dinner on Sunday.
I'm still feeling short on sleep. This morning, Nathan decided to wake up screaming for mommy around 5 am and never really went back to bed. I like sleep and wish I could manage more.
Nathan with waffles and peanut butter. Yum!
My week at work has been better, although some days have been very busy, it would be hard to imagine being worse than last week. My supervisor took the vicious patient off my hands. At times like these I am very glad to have a supervisor to take charge.
I've tried taking claritin for the last few days and it didn't seem to help my stuffy, running nose at all. I still suspect allergies.
Friday I had a terrible day at work. An angry patient's husband yelled, threatened, and bullied me over the phone for close to an hour. Then I had to deal with the aftermath all day, in addition to trying to juggle a full clinic.
Saturday I got the morning to relax when Nathan went to his Grandparents and Gary played strato in OC.
Sunday we too Nathan to the zoo. I thought it would be a nice trip since he knows lots of animal names and sounds. Although he did really like the giraffs, he didn't really notice or care about most of the other animals. In fact he was more excited about pushing his own stroller. When I tried to pry him off the stroller handles it to show his the zebras, he just screamed until I put him back. Maybe in a few more months he will appreciated it better.
It feels like I've had a stuff nose for months. I don't know if it is just one virus after another or an allergy. I lean toward serial viruses considering my son goes to daycare and the fact that I have the same symptoms in my office in a medical building.
We had a nice party for my birthday yesterday. The turn out was good, even my brother stayed the weekend. Nathan got to play with his friend Katie. My parents had a housewarming party the same day and I took Nathan over for a short visit while our party was going on. It was great to see so many friends, but at the end of the day I was exhausted.
Also, congratulations to our friends Eric and Jen on the birth of their boy, Andrew James.
