SEASONS (POLITICALLY CORRECT) GREETINGS
Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all... and a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2005, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great (not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country or is the only "America" in the Western hemisphere), and without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith, or sexual orientation of the wishee.
This wish is limited to the customary and usual good tidings for a period of one year, or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first. It is not intended to, nor shall it be considered, limited to the usual Judeo-Christian celebrations or observances, or to such activities of any organized or ad hoc religious community, group, individual or belief (or lack thereof).
Note: By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms. This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher at any time, for any reason or for no reason at all. This greeting is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting.
This greeting implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for the wishee her/himself or others, or responsibility for the consequences which may arise from the implementation or non-implementation of same. This greeting is void where prohibited by law.
Yours truly, (unless otherwise specified)
This christmas has been pretty poopy for me. Let me explain.
Things had already been really busy at work - lost of unusual cases and extra stuff to do. Also, my supervisor decided to critisize me for stuff that I had nothing to do with, and give me a load of her work to do while she's on vacation.
Then last weekend, out water heater decided to die and flood the living room. We had to cut short our planned evening out to babysit the plumber. Since the carpet was ruined, we had to get that replaced. Also, all our appartment has one big peice of carpet in all the rooms. So Gary and I had to pack up all our crap and live without hot water for a few days. I was like moving - but not going anywhere.
After all that, I just did not feel like doing anything. I just wanted to sit at home and veg-out. I played alot on the computer. This was even my "rest" week on working out. Hopefully with things pretty much back to normal, I'll feel more energetic.

As you might be able to tell from my lack of posts lately, things have been very busy at work. I usually use my lunch hour to check email, peruse the net, and update websites. Between meetings, holiday parties, and demanding bosses -it has been too much. And I've had a couple very interesting, but time consuming cases lately. Someone told me that 95% of cases take up about 5% of your time, and 5% are a pain in the butt and take up 95% of your time. I've had two of those 95% patients this week. I'm so glad that a couple of holidays are coming up.
This weekend I was reluctantly converted. I now have a brand new PC sitting on my desk at home. I know that PC are cheaper, faster, able to run more software ( especially games), and are more upgradeable, but I still feel bad for giving up my old Macintosh. I was born and raised on apple. I don't remember a time when we did not have an apple computer in the home. I don't like supporting the monopoly that is microsoft. It just feels uncomfortable to choose a PC, like I'm betraying my heritage.
But I must admit, I did enjoy playing the new computer game World of Warcraft, on the new computer. What a difference new hardware makes.
