Shibumi
My brother, Ari, recommended this political thriller by Trevanian. Tne novel Shibumi revolves around Nicholai Hel, an international free-lance assassin, pulled out of retirement to avenge a friend. The story is pretty good, at times the authors's lengthy descriptions of caves and the superiority of Japanese culture are too much. The main character's side-kick Le Cagot steals the show with a boisterous warm and clever personality. The was also some enjoyably inventive sex scenes. Overall I give it a 8 out ot 10.
